There are times when I feel unsure about things, but I avoid allowing it to overwhelm me.

Centering my mind offers clarity. Taking deep breaths gives me the chance to let go of the negative emotions that are frustrating me. I return to a calm state where I can think clearly.

Having that clarity allows me to objectively think things through. I weigh the various angles and come up with a reasonable perspective.

When I am unsure about someone’s sincerity, I think through all that I know about them. Calmly weighing the data allows me to form an informed opinion.

Meditation is the key to introducing impartiality to my assessment process.

When I am confused at work, instead of feeling stressed and uneasy about delivering the incorrect result, I take a few moments to clear my head. Deep breathing rids my mind of anything that stands in the way of my concentration. It keeps me focused on the task at hand.

I know that my ability to decipher things and make sound decisions comes from having a settled mind and spirit.

Today, clarity guides each task that I undertake and each decision that I make. My commitment to breathing and meditation is an important element of thinking clearly. I know that when my mind is clear, I am able to hear the intended message.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  1. How often do I incorporate breathing and meditation in my workday?
  2. What other benefits does meditation offer to me?
  3. How do I approach asking for clarification when the other person is impatient?
